On September 21, 2026, the second competition day of the swimming events at the 20th Asian Games, Shenzhen University student Dong Zhihao (Class of 2024, Sports Training) won the gold medal in the men's 100-meter breaststroke; Wang Haoyu (Class of 2024, Sports Training; preliminary round) won a gold medal as a member of the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay team; Li Jiaping (Class of 2022, Sports Training) and Liu Yaxin (Class of 2024, Master of Education) won the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the women's 200-meter freestyle; and Chen Hao (Class of 2023, Sports Training) finished fourth in the men's 50-meter freestyle.

At this Asian Games, nine current Shenzhen University students are competing in the swimming events. We look forward to even stronger performances from them in the remaining four competition days.
